How to contact our support team
Send an email to support@esalettertherapist.com. Email lets us keep a clear record of your question, look up your booking securely and give you an accurate answer.
Support happens by email only, and we keep no public street address. If someone phones you claiming to represent ESA Letter Therapist and asks for card or bank details, don't give them out; email us to confirm first.
Details to include when you email us
Including a few specifics lets us locate your appointment and respond sooner. Please leave medical records and detailed health information out of your email unless we ask for something in particular.
- Your name and the email address on your booking
- The date of your evaluation, if you had one
- A short description of your question or problem
- For letter questions, the state where you live
Questions we can help with by email
Our support team can help with booking and rescheduling, technical trouble during your evaluation, sending you another copy of your letter, payment questions and refund requests. We're also glad to explain how the evaluation works and what an ESA letter contains.
Only the licensed therapist decides, during your evaluation, whether you should receive a letter. Support staff have no ability to change that clinical decision.
Help with your ESA letter after approval
Your signed letter arrives as a PDF, usually the same day as your evaluation. If you cannot find it, check your spam or promotions folder first, then email us and we will help you get a copy.
If something on your letter looks wrong, like a name spelled incorrectly or an incorrect animal count, let us know quickly. Your letter shows the therapist's name, the type and number of their license, the state where it was issued and the date, so read it over before it goes to your housing provider.
If you live in California, remember that your first document is a letter of intent. The ESA letter itself follows after a follow-up around day 30, as required by state law. Email us if you need to change the time of that follow-up.
Check these ESA pages before you email
Many common questions are already answered on our site. Our FAQ covers pricing, timing and what the letter includes. The how it works page takes you step by step through the evaluation, and our state guides explain local rules that may affect your request. If you still need help after reading them, we are happy to answer by email.
ESA letter refunds and billing
Scheduling costs nothing, and you're charged only when your therapist issues a letter. For billing questions or a refund request, email support@esalettertherapist.com with your booking details and why you're asking.
You can read the details in our refund policy.
Privacy and records requests
If you want to access, correct or delete personal information, or you have a question about how we handle health information, email us with the subject line "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
How we gather, use and safeguard your information is laid out in two documents: our privacy policy and our notice of privacy practices.
Questions about housing or legal rights
We're happy to explain what an ESA letter is and how landlords tend to handle accommodation requests, but legal advice about your specific situation is outside what we can offer. Under the ADA, an ESA is not a service animal, and since HUD issued its enforcement guidance in May 2026, an untrained ESA request gets an individual, case-by-case review.
If a housing provider denies your request, you may want to contact a fair housing organization, your state civil rights agency or an attorney. Our state guides and housing resources can help you get oriented.
Requests from housing providers
If a housing provider contacts us to confirm that a letter is genuine, we protect your privacy and do not share more health information than the letter itself contains. Because your letter lists the therapist's license type and number along with the state that issued it, a landlord can also verify it directly with the licensing board in that state.
If your housing provider has asked for something we have not provided, forward the request to support@esalettertherapist.com and we will explain what we can and cannot send.
Contact options in a crisis
Nobody watches our inbox 24 hours a day, and email is no place to seek crisis help. In a crisis, or if thoughts of hurting yourself come up, dial or text 988 to connect with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; in an emergency, dial 911. An ESA letter is not emergency care.
Frequently asked questions
What is your email address?
Our support email is support@esalettertherapist.com.
Can I reach you by phone?
No. We provide support by email only so we can verify your booking and keep a clear record.
Do you have an office I can visit?
No. ESA Letter Therapist is an online service and does not have a public street address.
How do I request a refund?
Email support@esalettertherapist.com with your booking details and the reason for your request. Our refund policy explains the process.
Can support staff tell me if I will be approved?
No. Only the licensed therapist can decide whether an ESA letter is appropriate after your evaluation.
Can you talk to my landlord for me?
We do not act on your behalf with housing providers. You give the letter to your housing provider with your own accommodation request.
What should I do in a mental health emergency?
Don't wait on an email reply. Dial or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and in an emergency dial 911.
